Instructions for Using the AUX Power Wire on L02 Tractor Models

The L02 Tractor models include an AUX power wire that can be used as a power source for the W. R. Long third function. A mating connector has been provided in the kit for this purpose.

Overview:

Only one terminal needs to be installed to provide power to the W. R. Long valve. Refer to the pictures below for the correct orientation.

​Instructions:

1. Locate the factory AUX power connector:
   • The connector is under the control panel’s right side (see pictures provided). Remove the unterminated dust cap if it’s still attached.
2. Prepare the Power Wire:
   • Cut the W. R. Long power wire to the desired length.
   • Strip about ¼” inch of insulation from the end of the wire.
3. Crimp the Terminal:
   • Insert the stripped wire end into the terminal.
   • Use a crimping tool or a pair of needle-nose pliers to crimp the wire securely to the terminal.
   • Ensure the crimp is tight to avoid loose connections.
4. Confirm Connector Orientation:
   • Inspect the connector and note where the metal pin inside the housing should be located (see pictures provided).
5. Install the Terminal into the Connector Housing:
   • Slide the crimped terminal into the connector housing.
   • Push the terminal in until you hear or feel a “click,” indicating it is locked in place.
6. Connect the Plug:
   • Mate the factory AUX connector with the newly crimped power connector, ensuring proper alignment, until they securely connect.
